Almond French Toast

This morning I took my last slice of Almond bread and made french toast with it. I whipped one egg with a dash of cinnamon, sprinkle of salt, and a pinch of sugar, and then dipped the bread in it. Cook over medium heat for about 5 min.  Yummmmmm.

Roasting a Turkey

Turkey in February, yep. This bird was on sale, so I bought it.  I like to use my Nesco roaster. The meat is juicy and tender and I can use the oven to make other things. After washing the turkey I stuffed it with some herbs and vegetables. It smells so good as it cooks.  Read more »

Curried Pears

When I was young my mother would take canned peaches and broil them with butter, brown sugar and curry powder. The blend of sweet and savory was just perfect.
