Quinoa

Quinoa is a good gluten free choice when you want a side dish.

I wanted to try this grain dish. I boiled 2 cups of chicken stock and then added a dash of salt and 1 cup of Quinoa. After I added the grain, I turned the heat down to low. Cooked for 15 min. My daughter has been making it with garlic.

Wikipedia: a species of goosefoot (Chenopodium), is a grain-like crop grown primarily for its edible seeds. It is a pseudocereal rather than a true cereal, or grain, as it is not a member of the grass family. As a chenopod, quinoa is closely related to species such as beets, spinach, and tumbleweeds.
